WCIU Student Spotlight: Ellen Iyasu

Can we introduce you to Ellen Iyasu one of our current MA-DS students? Ellen has a huge heart for children from her home country of Eritrean. She is working hard to develop educational pathways for children displaced by ongoing conflict within the region. We are excited to be apart of her unfolding story; we are cheering you on Ellen!

Ellen Iyasu is from Eritrea and lives in California. With a passion for Educational Development, she seeks to establish schools for Eritrean children both in Eritrea and beyond her borders. She holds a BA in Computer Information Systems from California State University, Los Angeles, and is currently working on her MA in International Development at WCIU with a focus on Global Women’s Empowerment.
