Dr. Mano Emmanuel

Dr. Mano Emmanuel FCCA BTh MA PhD

Mano Emmanuel currently serves as Senior Lecturer and Head of Academic Advancement at Colombo Theological Seminary in Sri Lanka. Prior to this she held the post of Academic Dean of CTS for fourteen years. She lectures in Systematic Theology, Biblical Studies and Applied Theology.

Dr Emmanuel joined CTS in 2001 having previously worked in the field of Accountancy in London. She completed both BTh and MA (in Aspects of Biblical Interpretation) at London School of Theology (Previously London Bible Colle) in Northwood, UK. Her PhD in Peace Studies was awarded by the Asia Graduate School of Theology, Philippines. Her thesis, entitled Interpersonal Reconciliation in a Shame oriented culture, has subsequently been published by Langham Publishing UK. Her first book To Faith Add Understanding: An introduction to Christian Doctrine, was published by CTS Publishing (Sri Lanka:2009) and has since been translated into Sinhala and Tamil. She is also a contributor to the Journal of the Colombo Theological Seminary, the Spiritual Growth Study Bible and the Christian Education Journal Supplement.

Dr Emmanuel worships at Kollupitiya Methodist Church, in Colombo, where she serves as a local preacher and serves on the Board of Worship and the committee for Peace and Reconciliation.
