In Episode 3 of Faith and Leadership Journeys of Inspiring Global Women  , we referenced the Lost Girls of Sudan.

However the young Sudanese women that were featured were not “Lost Girls of Sudan.” This status is only accorded refugees after an extensive and careful interview to determine that they are orphans with neither parents alive. While the journeys of Pauline Hassan Burkey and Anger Agoth were still harrowing, thankfully, they were able to travel in the company of their families from the refugee camps to the US, and thus should not be called “Lost Girls of Sudan.”
